Reasons to Run: ChildRun

Moms are never too busy to give back to the community, we just need to be reminded of how we can help from time to time.

That’s why SavvyMom is pleased to remind you to lace up your running (or walking!) shoes, and get ready for this year’s ChildRun taking place Sunday, May 31.

Now in its 30th year, ChildRun inspires participants to raise funds for childhood cancer research and treatment areas at BC Children’s Hospital. Thanks to generous support, last year’s donations went directly towards the hospital. This year’s event is shaping up to be the same.

As if that wasn’t enough incentive to get out and run or walk the 1K or 5K courses, the run will be followed by a carnival celebration in Queen Elizabeth Park—a great reward for runners and walkers of all ages.

Come on your own or make a day of it and gather your family and friends to join you. Individuals and families can register until 8:30 am on the morning of the run.

Spending the morning outside, doing something healthy with your kids—that’s fun. Teaching your children how to help others, that’s important.
