Where to Get Your Turkey Dinner Take Away in Ottawa This Year
If you are usually visiting family or enjoying someone else’s cooking on Christmas Day, you may find yourself (along with many others in the Ottawa area) having a smaller holiday dinner this year that you need to prepare yourself.
You can reduce the stress of a big turkey dinner by ordering from one of the many local Ottawa establishments that are offering a turkey dinner take away. Although some have already sold out (a likely indication that many families are at home cooking their own meal this year) there’s still plenty of tasty options on the table—for now!
Most meals come with plenty of sides and something for dessert so all you’ll have to do is warm it up, or cook it in a short amount of time, then eat it! That means more time for you to put your feet up with a good book and sip on a holiday beverage.
Here is where you can get a turkey take-out meal this holiday season. You’ll need to order in advance, and while there are deadlines listed for some, they could sell out before then! Pick up times begin early next week.
Meatings
At Meatings you have the option of a half or whole smoked turkey, depending on the size of your family (or desire for leftovers). Sides include sweet potato and marshmallow casserole, carrots and brussels sprouts, and bacon stuffing. Dessert is a chocolate chip bread pudding. Keep an eye out for their egg nog if it’s in stock too.

Pure Kitchen
We don’t want to forget about our vegan friends, and we love that Pure Kitchen is offering a roast dinner takeaway of their own with turkey seitan, brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, and gravy. You can add on stuffing and a dessert of your choice too. Portions are per person, so you can order as many dishes to feed everyone as needed.

The SmoQue Shack
Order a half or whole turkey from The SmoQue Shack, and have it served hot and ready to eat on Christmas Eve or cold ready to warm up for your dinner. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, squash, and dessert squares will have you thinking about the Christmases of the past.

Christmas is ‘in the bag’ thanks to Wellington Gastropub. Their turkey meal for two might be the perfect dinner size for your family. It comes with starters like homemade sourdough bread and a winter vegetable chowder then you can enjoy the main course with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and more. Finish it off with pumpkin pie. If you are feeling extra festive, you can add one of their cocktails to your order.

Although the turkey will still need to be cooked (it will take a shorter amount of time since it’s boneless than a traditional bone-in turkey), the Premium Meats turkey meal is complete with many sides, carrot cake for dessert and a tourtiere to add to your Christmas dinner table, or to enjoy another night. This meal serves 8 so it’s perfect for larger families, or those who love leftovers (and who doesn’t love leftovers?)

Just want one or two turkey dinners to satisfy your cravings without the hassle? Epicuria may be sold out of their popular whole turkey dinner, but they are still serving up single servings of turkey stuffed with dressing, creamy mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce. Add on a sweet dessert or package of cookies too!

Dinewell At Home
Dinewell Catering has put together a delicious menu for two or four. Turkey, sides, and the impossibly hard dessert choice of apple strudel or maple crème Brulee. They currently have a bonus offer if you order by Friday, December 18th, you’ll receive an order of complimentary egg rolls with your dinner.

Essence Catering
Do you need a dinner for 2 people? 4 people? 6-10? Essence Catering has a turkey dinner option that will feed however many will be around your table. Dinners starts off with a celeriac, hazelnut and truffle soup, followed by turkey roulade (for 2-4 people) or a whole roast turkey for 6-10. If that doesn’t have you drooling, the candy cane and chocolate bark cheesecake surely will.

Your traditional roast turkey dinner awaits with Bytowne Catering. Dressing, turkey, gravy, cranberries, and your choice of sides (mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, roasted beets, and more) are all a part of your meal. There’s also a salad option, and a pickle plate or spinach dip with pumpernickel side to choose from. The hardest decision will be to select one of their six desserts.
