It's time to get our chicks in a row and start planning Easter excursions with our families. From specialty brunches to visits with newborn bunnies, there are hoppin' events happening all over the city. Here's a look at the best of them.

From making seed paper packages to bunny bots, there's loads of spring-themed specialty programming taking place April 3 and 4 at TELUS Spark to inspire and ignite your entire family.

Newborn bunnies (and other animals) make their appearance all spring at Butterfield Acres. If you're on the hunt for the Easter Bunny, this is the place to be. But why not help him out by sourcing items from the farm that he needs to make Easter happen? Be sure to book this popular scavenger hunt in advance, as it's been known to sell out.

Are eggs hunts more fun in the crisp mountain air? We think so! Head to Mount Norquay at 10 am on Easter Sunday to dig in the snow for chocolate treats left by a certain some-bunny. The hunt is free, and brunch at Kika's Cafe comes at a reasonable price.

Hankering for a family challenge? Unsolved mysteries are hidden deep within Gasoline Alley at Heritage Park March 20 to 29. Families gather clues along the way as they complete challenges, activities, crafts and eventually solve a ‘Mystery from History' for a chance to win a trove of incredible treasure.

Set on the shores of Lake Bonavista, the Lake House is a destination in itself. Tuck into their scrumptious à la carte brunch menu over Easter weekend or make reservations for Sunday dinner (and let someone else slave over a hot stove).

For a traditional Easter brunch in an atmospheric setting, head to the historic Wainwirght Hotel inside Heritage Park. While chowing down on glazed Valbella gammon ham and custom-made omelets, kiddies can pass the time decorating eggs.

If you've got a house full of guests, cure cabin fever at Trico Centre. Every Sunday at 6 p.m. families can swim, hit the gym or challenge each other to a board game. While you've got a little extra family time, take on T-Rex and the rest of his posse at the Zoo's recently reopened animatronic dinosaur exhibit.
