How to Get Fit (With the Kids in Tow) in the Lower Mainland

Did you make a resolution to get fit? Are you wondering how to do that with your kids in tow? Being a parent doesn’t mean you have to give up on your fitness goals. You don’t even have to get fit away from your kids. Luckily, the Lower Mainland has great options for keeping fit with your family. Here are some options to consider to help get your resolution fitness on:

Fit 4 Two

Fit 4 Two offers pre- and post-natal fitness on land and in water, including stroller fitness, Mom & Baby Barre, aquafit, spin class and you can even learn infant massage. You can get fit with your baby and have fun while you’re at it.

Runners and Booties Fitness

Rock your baby and rock out with your baby with Zumba for Mom and Baby and Groovin’ Tots Dance Class. Get your heart pumping while you dance it out together. They also have mall stroller walking groups in select locations.

YogaButtons Studio

Get your child doing the child pose and some namaste (or mama-ste) with you at YogaButtons Studio. They have family yoga so you can get bendy and stretch all together. Explore gentle movement and increase flexibility.

Grouse Mountain

Get moving in the snow with some Baby and Me Snowshoe clinics at Grouse Mountain. Snowshoe for an hour and a half and then enjoy hot tea and snacks—it’s a great way to get fit and walk in a winter wonderland!

Skyzone Park

Jump up and down with toddler trampoline time at Skyzone Park. You and the kids can jump around together, burn some calories and cardiovascular endurance. It’s good for the body and it’s a whole bunch of fun!

Greater Vancouver Zoo

With all the walking paths to explore the Greater Vancouver Zoo, it’s a great opportunity to combine a workout with animal education. You can bring your bike, scooter, rollerblades or stroller along and make a family workout of it. Take the trails at your own pace and work up a sweat (and appreciation for conservation.)
