Paper Cake Garland

You’ll Need

• Assorted patterned paper
• 1” circle punch
• Small hole punch
• Baker’s or kitchen twine
• Striped straws or wooden skewers

How to Make

1. Cut enough circles from the paper to make two rows of garland. For an 8” round cake, you’ll need 7 circles for the top row and 6 for the bottom row.
2. Punch two small holes in the top of each circle and thread the twine through the holes of each piece of paper.
3. Space the circles out evenly, or press them tightly together, and tie a knot in the twine at both ends to hold the first and last circle in place.
4. Snip off the twine leaving at least 4” at each end for hanging. Attach the ends to striped straws or wooden skewers and insert into the cake on an angle.
