A Great Family Experience This Season: Ross Petty’s Annual Show Is Airing in December
In our house, we have a family tradition with our three young kids. Each year, we attend Ross Petty’s annual holiday pantomime production to kick off the holiday season. This year, unsurprisingly, most of our traditions are on hold, so we were thrilled to discover that Ross Petty Productions has figured out a new way to bring this nostalgic holiday tradition to families across Canada.
The show must go on, so a virtual, interactive, 1-hour holiday show will be available nationwide on Dec 19 and 20 for $35 per household. The best part is, sales from this show will benefit Kids Help Phone, Canada’s only 24/7, national support service.
Kids Help Phone offers professional counselling, information and referrals, and volunteer-led, text-based support to young people in both English and French. Mental health is always important during the stress surrounding COVID-19 and its impact on our kids. Which is why mental health needs to be given even more attention via organizations like Kids Help Phone.
Sing-a-Longs, Ad-Libs and Raucous Audience Participation
There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays was imagined to give kids a BIG injection of fun. The virtual show will feature interactive dances, sing-a-longs, a performance from the beloved Ross Petty Productions cast, and Canada’s own Roberta Battaglia.
Pantomime means that the audience and performers interact, and let me just confirm for you that this is highly pleasing to little kids. At past shows, I’ve never seen my kids boo so loud or laugh so hard.
Tickets & Pricing
Tickets for this virtual show are $35 per household with sales from the show benefiting Kids Help Phone. Performances are on Saturday, December 19 or Sunday, December 20, and viewing times for each day are from 10 am – 9 pm EST, which families can view at their leisure.
