A Very Savvy Year

One year ago the first edition of SavvyMom Today came out and launched us on an incredible journey. We hope you’ll indulge us today in a look back at the last year– the highs, the lows and the in-betweens:
Lesson Learned – that home reno truism (twice as long, twice as much) applies just as much to building a business

Our Favourite Thing – meeting so many incredible people, especially the mom entrepreneurs, and becoming a part of this network

Most Fun – media appearances, not nearly as scary as we thought they would be

Most Un-Fun – technical issues (bandwidth, hard bounces, MIME messages, cascading style sheets – we wish we never knew you)

Savvy HQ ‘Can’t Live Withouts’ – Google Desktop, Diet Pepsi, Cobb salads, the Uniball Signo 207 ballpoint pen, Method Cleaning Wipes, chocolate (any kind really) and oh, did we already say Google Desktop?

What We’re Most Proud Of – creating a brand that other valued brands are proud to be associated with, SickKids Foundation and KidsFutures to name a few.

The next leg of our journey is about to begin with the launch of our Vancouver edition this week, Ottawa in early October and more city editions in the works before the new year.

SavvyMom would not have been possible without the help of our families or you, our loyal readers.

So thank you to our families – especially our husbands for their endless support this past year and belief in what we are doing. Thank you to our children for being patient as we tend to them, we admit, in between emails from time to time.

Finally, and most importantly, thank you to our readers – the opportunity to find the answers to your many questions and your boundless enthusiasm for what we are doing, keeps us going every day (and night – ‘cuz we’re often working then too.)
