A glow in the dark dance party might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Easter in Calgary, but Yoga And Beyond thinks it should be! Families are invited to join in some breathing exercises before getting their groove on to a playlist catered to folks ages 4 and up. The dance party will be on for 45 minutes and will wrap up with an Easter egg treat. Face painting will also be available by donation. Ticket prices range between $24 and $31, depending on how many kiddos plan to join in the fun.

Say hello to spring with the help of the Calgary Zoo’s Easter Eggstravaganza! The event takes place from 9 am until 5 pm for four days in April and features a ton of fun activities to get your kids hoppin’! Bring your phone along to join in on the virtual egg hunt by searching for QR codes around the zoo and scan the codes to enter to win a prize! Check out the fun Zoo Egg photo ops, visit the treat stations (for kids 12 and under), join in the fun of lawn games in the Game Zone (located on the West Lawn) and, of course, visit your favourite animals as you explore! All of these fun-filled events (and more) are part of your zoo admission.

Mark your calendars for a fun-filled weekend at Homestead Market, located in Rocky View County. The whole family (even pups!) are invited to visit the market, where there will be over 25 vendors and artisans, and Doggie Playtime, sponsored by Tiarific Canine. In addition to a visit to the market, you won’t want to miss one of the two egg hunts being offered. For kids 7 and up, there’s a scavenger hunt-style hunt with challenging clues leading to the eggs. For younger kids, clues will be a bit easier. Timed tickets are required for the Egg Hunt. They can be purchased for $7 in advance, or $10 for walk up tickets (with limited availability). Parents and children under 2 are free. Each child will receive chocolate eggs as well as entry into a draw for an Easter Basket Prize Package for participating.

If swapping out Easter eggs for Nerf darts sounds like fun to you, you won’t want to miss Calgary’s annual Easter Nerf Event, held at Absolute Baseball Academy and Fitness Centre on April 17 from 1 until 3 pm. Anyone from age 7 to adult is invited to bring along their blasters of choice, eye protection, water and indoor shoes and prepare to get hoppin! Presale tickets can be purchased for $20; regular priced tickets are $30, and tickets at the door are $35. Head to the Cascade Lodge at Mount Norquay before 10:00 am to register for a free Easter Egg Hunt for kids of all ages.
