Rise Up to Elevation Place

Located less than an hour away from Calgary, many folks consider Canmore an extension of their own backyard. So when a new playground opens up in this quaint alpine town, you take notice.

Sporting 77,000 square feet of indoor attractions, Elevation Place is awesome.

Tricked out with a lazy river, waterslide and a 25 person hot tub, the huge lap pool is flooded with natural light that streams in from the floor-to-ceiling windows. But the big draw here is their climbing wall, or rather, climbing gym. Filled with plenty of pockets, chimneys and ledges to make you feel like you’re outdoors, kids can hoist themselves up the wall, too. You’ll want to get here early or call to book a spot in advance, especially on weekends when it’s much busier. When everyone needs a break, there’s even a library for relaxing and recharging.

Childcare is available for kids 6 months to 7 years from 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 8pm, Monday to Thursday. No, we weren’t going to leave that part out.
