Easter Eggstravaganza – Calgary Zoo

Get your bunny ears ready for the eggs-citement of the Calgary Zoo’s Easter Eggstravaganza! Every day there’s an array of spring-themed activities, including egg-cellent treats! Let your little ones hop around the zoo grounds to discover the Treat stations, as special zoo volunteers hand out sweets. And be on the lookout for the animals receiving colourful, Easter-themed enrichments in our Wilder Moments. Play along with some new Easter lawn games and explore the zoo while learning about the animals in our care and their counterparts in the wild. You’ll definitely want to stop by for photo opportunities throughout the zoo to capture memories of this special celebration.

Spark’s Sports Saturdays with the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta invite families to meet Olympic and Paralympic athletes and try hands-on sport demonstrations. Visitors can move, play, and explore the science behind athletic performance through interactive activities designed for all ages.

On Sundays, Skydive Extreme Calgary brings the science of skydiving to Spark. Through interactive displays, visitors can explore how the brain and body respond to adrenaline, focus, and reaction time, and learn how science and engineering keep skydivers safe.

Canada’s largest cosplay parade is back to kick off Calgary’s Expo activities downtown, and you won’t want to miss out on the fun! Whether you’re participating in the parade, or enjoying as a spectator, dress up in your favourite costume and join thousands of cosplayers as they march down Stephen Avenue toward Olympic Plaza for the Expo Opening Ceremony. Don’t miss this celebration of pop culture and creativity, with over 17,500 spectators expected along the route and in the Fan Zone!
