Theatre Calgary: The Tale of the Gifted Prince

Theatre Calgary’s production of The Tale of the Gifted Prince takes place in a kingdom on the edge of rebellion. Prince Ren must save his father’s throne and armed with five humble gifts, he embarks on a quest to enlist the aid of a reclusive shaman. As danger looms, Ren discovers the gifts hold powers that will either mend a realm or shatter it forever. Join Theatre Calgary for this world premiere musical you will never forget.

Storybook Theatre’s Anne of Green Gables

Everyone’s favourite redhead returns as Anne Shirley arrives unexpectedly at a small farming community. She faces challenges with optimism, defends her identity, and changes the hearts of those around her through sheer determination and bold spirit. Storybook Theatre’s Anne of Green Gables‘ run has been extended to Sunday April 12.

Take on hands-on challenges for all ages: test your balance on a high-line, climb a kid-sized hanging wall, or immerse yourself in 360° virtual mountain biking and whitewater kayaking. Extreme Sports is a heart-pounding celebration of curiosity, courage, and human potential.

Penguin Walk at the Calgary Zoo
Daily until March 15
Don’t miss your chance to walk with the penguins at the Calgary Zoo before these snow-loving creatures head back inside for the spring! The Penguin Walk at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo takes place daily until mid-March at 10 am (as long as the weather cooperates). The penguin walk is included with regular admission.

Ah, darn, I wish someone would have told you earlier about the Woodman school Winterfest. On March 5th, 11am-4pm, at 8706 Elbow Drive SW: there will be Indigenous drumming, food trucks, Carnaval games, student art on silent auction and more. Free entry, and all funds raised go to support the playground build for the school.
