Coconut-Lemon Hand Scrub

Tranquil Facial Steam

  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 large bath towel
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 sliced lemon 1 handful of mint leaves

Directions
Place the large bowl on a flat surface and add boiling water, lemon slices, and mint leaves. Place the bath towel over your head and lower your face over the bowl (making sure the towel is large enough to keep the steam from escaping). Breathe deeply for seven to ten minutes, allowing the aroma of the mint and lemon to calm your senses and remove impurities.

Sensitive Skin Cucumber Mask

  • 1 tablespoon brewer’s yeast
  • 1 tablespoon finely ground oatmeal
  • 1 whole cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Directions
Mix together yeast and oats in a small bowl and set aside.

Peel the cucumber and place it in a small food processor and process until only liquid remains. Add the yogurt and honey and mix. Add the brewer’s yeast and oats to the cucumber/honey mixture and process to mix fully. Apply to clean face and neck skin and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse well and follow with toner and moisturizer.

Coffee Body Scrub

  • 2 cups coarsely ground coffee grounds
  • ½ cup raw sugar or sea salt
  • 2–3 T olive oil

Directions
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Start with a quick shower to moisten your skin and open your pores. While still in the shower, using your hands, rub the coffee mixture all over your skin with strong, even pressure. Rinse off scrub and pat skin dry.

Rejuvenating Bath Soak

  • 4 drops lavender oil
  • 3 drops rosemary oil
  • 2 drops peppermint oil

Directions
Combine oils and drop into warm bath water. After bath, apply a thin layer of your favourite body lotion.

Coconut-Lemon Hand Scrub

  • ½ cup coconut oil (found at health-food stores)
  • ½ cup raw sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Directions
Mix all ingredients in small bowl. Rub the mixture over your hands for one minute. Brush excess sugar from your skin with a facecloth. Slide your hands into cotton gloves and leave on as long as possible.
