Thomson’s Kitchen + Bar | hyatt.com

Breakfast Hours – Brunch Buffet Hours – Sundays from 10 am – 2 pm

Thomson’s Kitchen + Bar, located inside the Hyatt downtown has two fantastic breakfast and brunch options you won’t want to miss. All week long, breakfast includes mouthwatering options like Braised Bison Cheek Breakfast Poutine, Salty Caramel Delight Waffles and classics like eggs benny and omelettes. For something extra special, head down between 10 am and 2 pm on Sundays for their brunch buffet, which is $45 for guests over 12, $23 for kids aged 6-12 and free for kiddos under 5. Prepare to dine on delicious items like pancakes, farm-fresh salads, pastries and slow-roasted Alberta beef.  Even if you aren’t a guest of the hotel, Thomson’s Kitchen + Bar is a great place to get brunch on Sundays from 10-2!

Breakfast/Brunch Hours – 8 am – 3 pm

All three Diner Deluxe locations offer kids’ menus for guests 12 and under that include everything from classic cold cereal to French toast, breakfast sandwiches and more. All kids’ menu items are under $10. They have an extensive menu for grownups including classics like eggs benedict, omelettes, and huevos rancheros, as well as irresistible items like fried chicken and waffles, breakfast bowls and stuffed French toast. Vegetarians and vegans can also enjoy a menu with items like the Plant Powered Vegan Breakfast Sandwich and the Community Breakfast Bowl.

Breakfast/Brunch Hours – Daily from 9 am – 2 pm

There are so many reasons to love Bro’Kin Yolk, and their incredible food is an obvious place to start. Aside from delicious menu items like their eggs benny, breakfast poutine, breakfast sandwiches  and breakfast classics like chicken & waffles, they also have a great value Kids’ Menu with brunch and lunch options starting at 9 bucks. Don’t miss out on their mini Belgian waffles for an appetizer or even a full breakfast; they come with your choice of toppings including maple syrup, white chocolate lavender, salted caramel, berry compote and Nutella sauce.

Breakfast/Brunch Hours – Open 7:30 am – 2:45 pm daily at Bridgeland, University District and Mission locations; Open 6:30 am – 2 pm M-F and 8 am – 3 pm on weekends and holidays downtown

If you haven’t had a chance to visit OEB for breakfast, you’ll definitely want to add this Calgary staple to your list. What started as a teeny 1,000 square foot space on Edmonton Trail in 2009 has now expanded to include restaurants across Canada and the US. With a monster menu filled with more options than you can shake a fork at, your biggest challenge will probably be deciding between savoury or sweet. One of our family favourites is their Soul in a Bowl, which is like a breakfast poutine.  We also can’t wait to try their gnocchi breakfast carbonara. The good news is, whatever you pick, it’s all delicious!

4 locations – Macleod, Sunridge Mall, Northland Village, Brentwood
Breakfast/Brunch Hours – Monday – Saturday from 6 am – 3 pm, Sundays from 7 am – 3 pm

Cora’s is a breakfast spot popular with kids and parents alike thanks to their pretty plate presentations, generous portion sizes and delicious food. Cora has menu options created for kids 12 and under in addition to their “Teen’s Favourites” and regular menu items. Cora’s also offers a loyalty program where you can collect points to help save money on future breakfast visits! If you’re having a hard time deciding, their crepes are a classic!

Breakfast Hours – Daily from 6 am – 8 pm (except Forest Lawn location – opens at 7 am)

Phil’s is a classic breakfast restaurant that families love because Phil’s love families! Pancakes, crepes, waffles, french toast, eggs, bacon, sausages and more are all on the menu at totally reasonable prices. Their L’il Appetite menu has a huge selection for kids 8 and under with tasty options like cheese omelettes, ham and scrambled eggs, French toast and bacon and more, all for just $9.95 and dollar sized pancakes are free for kids 8 and under! Don’t forget to grab dessert with mouthwatering treats like the Yum Yum Sundae which comes with a quarter Belgian Waffle topped with Foothills Ice Cream and your choice of Phil’s own Fruit Compote.

4 locations – Downtown, Barlow, Shawnessy and Deerfoot Meadows

Our family recently stayed at the Sandman Signature downtown and were excited to discover that Moxies serves a delicious breakfast for grownups and kids alike. It was hard to decide between lighter fare like granola and yogurt or something heartier like brioche French toast with berries and whipped cream or Sicilian sausage hash. There’s a great kids menu as well!

No word of a lie – Yellow Door Bistro has one of the most delicious brunches I’ve ever had. The menu changes weekly, but in the past, I’ve enjoyed everything from bread pudding to eggs benedict, hash browns, sausages, bacon, and more. There are cold continental items such as fresh fruit bowls with steel-cut oatmeal, a charcuterie selection, pastries, and yogurt.

    Earls also has nothing under $10 on their brunch menu anymore 🙂
