Every kid looks forward to summer vacation – and every parent waits in anticipation for the first ‘I’m bored’ comment. Here to stop the whining in its tracks is our list of Awesome Summer Camps in Ottawa.
One of the best all-around camps in town is Saunders Farm Camp. Day campers as young as 5 enjoy a daily swim in the lifeguard-supervised pool, learn about farming and food preparation in the brand new kitchen building and are treated to a delicious daily farm fresh lunch (allergies can be accommodated). Your kids will never want to come home.
For preschoolers, you can’t miss Tiny Hoppers. Six of their locations offer summer day camps for kids as young as age 3.5, and their years of experience caring for young kids make them a perfect choice for worried parents and kids alike. Colourful spaces will be filled daily with games, songs and crafts, all built around a weekly theme. There are plenty of ways to burn off steam too, with their climbers, bouncers and bikes. Pre and post camp care are also available if you need to extend your day.
