Not every choose-your-own Christmas tree experience has to end up a la the Griswolds. When planning to get a real tree, don’t stress about remembering the saw or creating the perfect moment that can be frozen in time; you’ll just end up frozen. Instead, look to your local Ottawa Christmas Tree farms and markets to find your family fir or spruce, and that festive fun you seek.

Ian’s Christmas Adventure Park and Tree Farm
We aren’t sure what is more popular with the kids: taking the wagon ride, skating on the rink or meeting reindeer at Ian’s Christmas Adventure Park and Tree Farm. Cut your tree or select a ready-to-go pre-cut from the lot. Don’t forget to see Santa while he’s there (nightly, from 6-9 pm).

Cedar Hill Christmas Tree Farm
Hop in the car and plan a drive to Pakenham where Cedar Hill Christmas Tree Farm is waiting for you. Go sledding, jump on the wagon to head into the field to find the perfect tree and then warm up by the bonfire. There are plenty of activities waiting.
