Pretty Pretzel Party Sticks

You’ll Need:

• Pretzel rods
• Coloured candy melts
• Assorted sprinkles
• Cardstock gift tag
• Gel pen or marker
• Optional: pretzel mold

Directions:

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
2. Melt the chocolate in the microwave, in 20-second intervals, or in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water, stirring occasionally, until smooth and glossy.
3. Dip the ends of the pretzels in the chocolate, covering at least 1/3 of the stick with the chocolate.
4. Decorate with sprinkles and lay on the parchment paper, allowing the chocolate to set at room temperature.
5. If using a pretzel mold, fill the cavity with some of the melted chocolate, tap the mold on the counter to remove any air bubbles and fill with additional melted chocolate if needed. Let rest until completely hardened before removing from the mold.
6. Package a pretzel stick or two into a clear cello bag and tie with twine. Attach a cardstock gift tag and write ‘Let’s Stick 2gether’ on the card.

Good to Know:

• Long pretzel rods can be purchased at cake decorating and craft stores, as well as some specialty grocery and bulk food stores.
• If the long rods are not available, you can treat ordinary pretzels with the same dip-and-sprinkle application used here, and package several of them together in the gift bags.
• Candy melts melt more evenly than chips, so use those if possible.
