Recycled Paper Decorations

Recycled Paper Ornament CraftYou’ll Need

  • A template (we simply drew a circle shape, but any shape will do—star, heart, diamond)
  • Recycled paper in festive colours
  • Recycled cardboard
  • Eco-friendly adhesive glue
  • Scissors
  • Length of string or wool
  • 1 vintage bead or button

How to Make

  1. Place the template on the piece of paper and draw around it. Cut out a piece of cardboard roughly the same size as the piece of paper.
  2. Glue the piece of recycled cardboard onto the back of the paper and leave one side for awhile for the glue to dry completely.
  3. Cut out the paper shape neatly using a sharp pair of scissors. Trim the shape if necessary so that no pen or pencil marks are showing.
  4. Thread both ends of the string through a bead or button to create a loop. Glue the string loop to the back of the card and allow to dry.

Good to Know: This is a really great craft for toddlers to try given the simple nature of it.
