Ottawa Panda Game

Don’t miss the Panda Game on October 1st at TD Place (Landsdowne). This is the ultimate showdown between the Ottawa Gee-Gees and the Carleton Ravens in an exciting university football match. The rivalry is intense and the stadium will be full of vibrating energy while the action on the field will be full on. Grab your tickets because this event always fills up!

Annual Butterfly Show @Carleton University

The annual butterfly show at Carleton University is a fun family event where you will get up close and personal with these beautiful creatures. Don’t forget to bring orange slices with you because the butterflies love them! Pack light as you head out as the space is cozy and is also quite warm inside.

Mothers Walking for Mothers

Mothers Walking For Mothers will take place on October 7th in support of maternal health and midwifery led care. This 5k walk will raise funds for Mama Imara, a Canadian Non Profit Organization. Fundraising dollars will provide HIV testing for mothers and medication so their babies are born without the virus. All are welcome to this family friendly event.

Ottawa Parent & Child Expo

Head to the Nepean Sportsplex October 14th and 15th for the Ottawa Parent & Child Expo presented by the Ottawa Parenting Times magazine. “Meet The Keepers” will be on stage both days for an interactive animal adventure where you will also learn about responsible pet ownership as you meet all their furry (and crawly!) friends. Bluey will also be on site throughout the weekend as you explore a wide array of vendors offering products and services from Ottawa and beyond.

Ottawa PoutineFest

Head over to Sparks Street from October 12th to 16th and indulge in a variety of poutine! Conveniently park at Ottawa City Hall for a great price and then walk over to Sparks Street for a poutine culinary adventure. Enjoy a variety of poutines to taste test, be mesmerized by the street performers and then relax on a local patio.

Ottawa Maker Fest

St. Laurent Shopping Centre is home to Ottawa Maker Fest on October 21st as you explore with talented local creaters showcasing their innovative projects and ideas. This is a perfect place and opportunity for inquisitive young minds to explore, question and learn in a fun and inspiring environment.

Ottawa Fire Truck Pull

October 21st you can check out the Ottawa Fire Truck Pull at Lansdowne, one of the many fun family events in Ottawa this October, where teams of 10 will pull 10+ tonne fire trucks 100 feet! Experience the enchantment of Pumpkininferno at Upper Canada Village from September 29th to October 29th. On site there are over 7000 handcrafted pumpkins illuminating all throughout Upper Canada Village creating a magaical atmosphere that the whole family will enjoy. This is a popular event and we suggest heading out on a weekday evening if you want to beat the crowds!

From September 29th to October 31st, don’t miss Pumpkins After Dark at Wesley Clover Park. Explore a captivating world of illuminated pumpkins paired with special musical effects, charming characters and a whole lot of fun! This fall festive activity is an unforgettable adventure that the whole family will enjoy.
