Find Family Fitness at Toronto’s ‘Life Time Fitness’

Sure, the weather is still great for playing outside all day, but come that first cold blustery day, we know we’ll be in a panic looking for indoor activities that can captivate our crew for more than 15 minutes.

Enter Life Time Fitness, with locations in both Mississauga and Ajax. The feel is country club, but the price tag is more fitness club. And the facilities are amazing.

The basketball courts mean the whole family can participate in a sport together. A rock climbing wall (Mississauga location) appeals to our littles, who would live in a climbing gym if they could. A gorgeous outdoor pool means that when the weather is nice, we’ve got a great place to cool off. Oh and what if it’s wretched outside? Indoor pool! And yes, they offer kids’ swimming lessons if you are sick to death of the Parks and Recreation panic at registration time. There are also dance and karate programs for kids, plus a variety of spa services for the adults to indulge in.

All that is awesome, but the number one thing that we really love about Life Time Fitness is that it is something we can all do together as a family. Mom and Dad don’t have to sit on the sidelines merely observing the kiddos’ activities. Likewise, the kids aren’t dropped in daycare while the parents sweat it out (although there is a fabulous kids’ club as well if the little ones are still too young to shoot a basket). The café means we can all grab a nosh together and relive the fun of the day and catch up in general.

We could get used to a lifetime of this.

Keep moving, we’ve got 10 more of the Best Places to Work It Out in Toronto to keep the whole family active.
