Take a Ride on Ottawa’s Only Roller Coaster at Funhaven

ottawa indoor permanent roller coaster for kids

Ottawa has an indoor roller coaster and it’s waiting for your family to hop on and have some fun! Funhaven, the popular entertainment centre, has recently introduced the only roller coaster in Ottawa, adding to the already exciting activities and attractions at Funhaven.

The Crazy 8, as the ride is called, is bringing thrills to Ottawa residents 4 years old and over. Riders need to have a minimum height of 47 inches to ride alone, or minimum height of 36 inches if riding with an adult.  There are plenty of spins that will keep riders whirling and cheering in delight.  We love the video posted on the website that gives a teaser for those who want a sneak peek at what the roller coaster looks like.

While we know that many thrill-seeking kids will welcome with raised arms this new addition, let’s be honest and admit that many of us parents want a turn on the ride as well. Everyone in the family will love having the only roller coaster between Montreal and Toronto right in our own town. Forget having to wait for the outdoor fairs and special exhibitions of the summer months, this is a year-round roller coaster that is spinning its way to becoming a favourite destination.

Funhaven has long been a destination of indoor entertainment for families in the area. Located in Ottawa’s West end, Funhaven welcomes kids of all ages. We love that they offer experiences like bumper cars, bowling, laser tag and more.  We recommend parents check out their website for their special deals and offers such as early bird discounts, weekday offers for children under five years of age, and membership information.

If you go, plan to grab a bite to eat at the cafeteria and stick around for a sweet bite at the build-your-own sundae bar. Funhaven has long been an amazing way to spend a day as a family, and now, with the addition of the Crazy 8, it’s even better.
