Who says model behaviour is impossible?
Encourage a little ‘modelling’ and inspire some creative behaviour at Clay for Kids, a versatile pottery studio located in the South East. Known for their portable programs that bring highly qualified staff to Calgary schools for pottery workshops, Clay for Kids also offers an amazing array of fun classes for kids.
Story Time Walk-In Toddler Classes begin with the instructor reading a popular children’s book, then the kids make one of their favourite characters out of clay to take home. Kids can also learn how to use the pottery wheel, create their own unique objects, work with ceramic paint and more.
Keep an eye out for preregistered workshops such as the Halloween Fun Day on October 26 (ages 5 to 12) where you can drop off the kids for a two-hour workshop to mould and paint their own spook-tacular clay figures ($25 per child). We also love that on designated Fridays, they offer Parents’ Night Out/Kids’ Night In from 6:30 to 9 pm. The kids can enjoy pizza, prizes, creating and painting so you can enjoy a well-deserved date night.
There are also adult classes available for those moms looking to play with clay themselves. If your kids can’t get enough of clay, you can also book birthday parties for up to 40 people with a variety of packages, including Paint ‘N Go, Ceramic Glazing, Clay Building and more. Or simply drop in to paint and glaze a present for the upcoming holidays.
