Where, oh where has the milkman gone? The butt of many a joke in generations past, the milkman has sadly disappeared from our neighbourhood streets. The good news is you can still get your milk (and your groceries too) delivered to your front door. Two very worthwhile Calgary grocery delivery options are Sunterra Market and Small Potatoes Urban Delivery (SPUD).
SPUD is certainly one of our fave grocery delivery picks. It has a very user friendly website that allows you to create lists (so repeat shopping trips are even quicker and easier than your initial order). You can even set up standing orders with direct debit. SPUD products fall on the healthier end of the spectrum. Most are organic and we’ve found the produce tastes fresher and yummier than general grocery store fare.
On top of all of those great features, SPUD also offers free delivery with a $35 order and drops off your food in a reusable bin (no more plastic shopping bags). You pay online so SPUD can drop off whether you’re home or not. Your bin is stuffed with reusable ice packs so there are no worries about spoilage. SPUD also has a conscience, focusing on local and ethically produced products.
