Play Clay Heart Bracelets
You’ll Need:
- Model magic air-dry clay
- Rolling pin
- Mini heart cookie cutter
- Toothpick or bamboo skewer
- Twine, string or cording
- Cardstock
- Marker
- Cello bags
Directions:
- Place the model magic on a flat surface and roll it out to a ½-inch thickness.
- Using the mini heart cookie cutter, cut shapes from the clay. You should get two-dozen 1-inch wide hearts from one package of model magic.
- With the toothpick, poke holes in the sides of the heart. Insert the toothpick through both the front and back of the heart to ensure the string will pass through easily.
- Use the toothpick to lightly press a monogram letter or small design into the clay heart, or alternatively, leave it plain. Let heart dry as per package directions.
- Snip a length of string, twine or cording and thread it through one of the hearts. Tie a loose knot at the back (so it can be adjusted if necessary) and repeat with the remaining hearts.
- Cut a piece of cardstock into desired size and use the marker to write a Valentine message. Package both the bracelet and the note into a clear cello bag secured with string.
