Recipe Referencing

Recipe_Referencing_blog

I can’€™t quite remember where I came across this brilliant tip last week, but I wanted to share it with you before it slips my mind.
Here it is: When you’€™re heading out to shop for food for a recipe, instead of making a list of the items you need, snap a photo of the recipe on your phone and take it with you. That way, you won’€™t misplace your list or forget to write something down. You can take snapshots of pages in cookbooks or magazines’€”and multiple recipes at one time. If by chance the store doesn’€™t have one of the ingredients on your list, you can move on to one of the other recipes you’€™ve captured.

I also think it serves as a great index for those nights when you’€™re on your way home from work and you realize you don’€™t have a plan for dinner in place. Scroll through the photographed recipes on your phone and choose one to cook for that night’€” based on what you have in the fridge and pantry or what you can grab on the way home.

Do you have any quick tips to share for on-the-go and/or digital recipe organization?
