In a very short time, it will be summertime’¦when the living is easy. Maybe it’s easy for everyone in the universe without young kids at home, but not for moms.
That’s why we’ve put together a list of Great Summer Camps in Toronto that will be sure to keep kids busy, happy and engaged while learning new stuff.
We love a program that provides tailor-made fun for our kids while fine-tuning their minds, which is why the creative Kinder Camps offered by Liberty Village Kids (LVK) are standouts.
Once July rolls around, this English-language run, art and language-based preschool/after school program switches into camp mode and offers an entire summer of fine arts, crafting, French, Spanish and drama for children aged 3 to 6 years.
If your little ones only parlent anglais, not to worry. Kids who have not been exposed to other languages won’t feel lost or left behind. Instead, they’ll be too focused on having fun, which is in plenty of supply thanks to their weekly camps with child-centric themes, including Much Ado About Munsch, Seuss, Superhero (which centres around the famous male and female superheroes but also everyday, in-our-community superheroes) and Rockets, Planets and Aliens, Oh My!
LVK offers outdoor time spent in their garden (a highlight of Eco-Camp week) and you can expect to hear about the worm composter and produce sampling when your happy camper returns home.
Offering a counsellor/camper ratio of 1:5 (with a maximum of 20 campers per week) and fully bilingual staff possessing ECE and Fine Arts degrees, LVK has it covered when it comes to an inspired camp experience in the city for kids.
