It’s a Family Affair!

Moms understand the importance of children’s health care—whether it be a fever, a broken bone, allergies or something more serious. At SavvyMom, we believe in kids first and foremost. We know your kids are your pride and joy, your raison d’etre and the greatest tug on your heart strings. They are our future and we want to see them happy and healthy. That’s why at SavvyMom, we agree with SickKids Foundation that healthier children lead to a better world, and we’re guessing you do too.
This year, SavvyMom is proud to be the presenting sponsors of A Family Affair, an event supporting SickKids and the pediatric medical research supported by the Foundation, research that benefits children everywhere, not just in Toronto.

Everyone on the SavvyMom team (and we mean everyone—even our husbands!) has been working hard for the last nine months on this event towards our goal of raising $300,000, from corporate fundraising to stuffing envelopes, and we’re very excited to see how it has all come together. A Family Affair promises to be an experience to treasure for parents and kids alike.

On Sunday, May 6th, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre will be transformed into a magical play land of entertainment, activities, delicious food and all kinds of surprises. Guests will be entertained by kids’ favourite rockin’ band, The Doodlebops, a rock and roll recording studio, the Super Science Slime Zone, the Princess Palace Dress Up Centre, the KenJen Petting Zoo, a climbing wall, an Xbox 360 gaming area and some of Toronto’s favourite sports teams including an Argos kick and throw area, a Maple Leafs ultra mini-hockey zone, Blue Jays batting cages, and more. The event will also feature a family silent auction, a raffle and a gourmet picnic to entice even the choosiest of palates.
