It’s an entertaining time of year for kids. Spring is in the air and they can get outside and play in the grass, swing on the swings and ride their bikes, trikes and scooters.
But when it’s time for some indoor entertainment, there is just as much excitement for them inside with some big news from Disney.

On May 6, Playhouse Disney is becoming Disney Junior, making it the new place on television where magical storytelling comes to life.

Moms love that it’s a commercial-free channel for younger children offering the best in engaging and development-based programming.

Kids love the line up of shows including classics like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny. They’ll want to tune in for Jake and the Never Land Pirates, a brand new series premiering on May 6 at 6 pm ET. Gathering inspiration from Peter Pan, this new series is a music-filled interactive treasure hunt that introduces a crew of kid pirates, on their Never Land adventures as they work to outwit the infamous Captain Hook and Mr. Smee.
