Get Juicy

Indulge much over the holidays?
If you haven’t started yet, we thought you might need a little nudge to get you on a healthy eating routine.

We’€™re jumping on The Juice Truck this January, a bright pink juicing laboratory on wheels, located at the corner of Water and Abbott streets in Gastown.

The Juice Truck uses a premium cold-pressing production technique to preserve the delicate flavours and enzymes of the mostly local and organic fruits and vegetables in their juices. These unpasteurized juices last 72 hours and we can’€™t think of an easier or more delicious way to get our five to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables than in the Remedy juice (fresh pineapple pressed with cucumber, wheatgrass, mint and ginger) or the Avocado Pineapple smoothie (avocado blended with pineapple, coconut water, lime, vanilla and agave).

While running this truck over the past year and drinking from their juice menu daily, proprietors Ryan and Zach noticed a marked shift in how their bodies felt’€”and their regular customers were noticing it too. After recognizing this change, they worked with registered holistic nutritionist Eden MacDonald of Feed Life to develop The Juice Cleanse. The three-, five- and seven-day cleanses are delivered right to your door and with six delicious juices and smoothies per day, the emphasis is on health rather than weight loss.

We like the three-day cleanse. It’€™s designed for beginners, the stressed out or those who suffer from chronic inflammation or digestive upset. It’€™s a gentle flush of your system. It normalizes digestion and helps regulate hormones, removes impurities from your colon and supports your liver’€”leaving you refreshed and revitalized.
