Your Child Can Now Take Mermaid Classes in Ottawa

These classes for children aged 7-13 will transform your child into a mermaid when they put on a mermaid tail and learn how to swim, splash and frolic as a mermaid. Classes for kids

Every Saturday at 6 pm at the YMCA Ottawa location on Argyle Avenue, the mermaids take over the pool. This is when the Aquamermaid classes take place for an hour. During the class, they will use a mermaid tail and learn mermaid skills like the dolphin kick. They will also get to play games and enjoy challenges. This is a class for swimmers who already know how to swim and are ready to try something more. The hour-long class will also allow time for kids to learn how to pose like a mermaid. There are a couple of different ways to enjoy the class—kids may do it as a one-time event or they can participate in a weekly practice that focuses more on enhancing their skills and works on progressively improving their mermaid swim abilities.

Birthday parties

For an extra special birthday, Aquamermaid offers birthday parties as well. The price begins at $300 for a party of 7 kids (although more can be added for an additional fee) and includes the hour-long mermaid class while wearing the tail, posing time and photos as a keepsake. We think a birthday party like this would be a completely special and unique way to celebrate. Birthday parties are available on Saturdays at 6 pm like the classes. Private group bookings are available for non-birthday events as well.

Mermaids in your own Pool

Not only can your child attend a class in Ottawa at the YMCA Argyle location, or host their birthday party there, but Aquamermaid will come to your pool this summer to host a party! This would truly be an exceptional summer birthday or summer party for kids who are wanting to try out their mermaid skills but have a pool in their own backyard. Pricing is similar to the birthday party structure plus a travel fee and a mermaid will attend your party to teach the kids the skills and poses while in the comfort of your own family pool.
