Whether you’re looking to check out a limited time event, or want to find something you can do again in the coming months, there are plenty of activities and events for the May long weekend in Calgary!

The Victoria Day long weekend marks the start of the season for many of Calgary’s most popular outdoor attractions. In addition to the opening of many of our city’s favourite theme parks, you won’t want to miss some of the other fun events taking place in the city this May long!


Heritage Park Opening Weekend | heritagepark.ca
Saturday May 18 from 10 am – 5 pm

Heritage Park is officially ushering in its 60th year, starting on Saturday May 18, 2024! To celebrate, they are offering a $60 membership package that gives you unlimited Park access during regular operating hours. Attractions inside include favourites like the steam train, the S.S. Moyie, Gasoline Alley Museum and the Alberta Bakery, as well as special events like Once Upon A Christmas, Festival of Quilts, Canada Day and the new 60th Birthday exhibit!

The Historical Village is open daily from Saturday May 18 to Monday Sept. 2, 2024 and then open on weekends only until Monday Oct. 14, 2024.
