Anyone with small children understands that even mother nature can’€™t slow down a busy kid. They’€™re still up early every morning and looking for action’€”and it’€™s your job to make that happen.
So we made it our job to compile a list of places that are still open for business and are looking forward to welcoming your brood with open arms. Most are in the city of Calgary, but we’€™ve included Canmore and Banff too.

Kick cabin fever to the curb, and make a play for some indoor activity facilities. There are lots open in town and many offer separate toddler areas and sweet treats for well behaved rascals. Find out which ones are open.

Yes, Banff is open for (and needs our) business! Take in cultural performances until the end of August during the Summer Arts Festival. Many campgrounds remain open and we like the new oTENTik glamping cabins for urbanites who want to get back to nature, without having to rough it.

Canmore’s brand spanking new indoor playground, Elevation Place, sports a waterslide and lazy river in the pool area, but the big deal is its climbing surfaces. They don’€™t just have a climbing wall, they’€™ve got a rock climbing gym brimming with bouldering space for young children. You can while away half a day on quaint Main Street, strolling down the boardwalk path along Policeman’€™s Creek, stopping at the Old School Bus for ice cream and paying a visit to the Olde Tyme Candy Shoppe or a delightful independent toy shop, called HiJinx.

When the going get’€™s tough, it’€™s time to find some entertainment for the kids. Here are 10 more great places that are open in Calgary for the kids.
