Golfing for Kids

It’s cold and blustery out, we know. That’s why we’re focusing on spring and summer activities—like golf. Yes, we’re thinking about golf in February, because registration for early spring classes at Kevin Haime Golf School starts very soon.

We love that these classes offer fun opportunities for families to learn together. Their Parent/Junior clinics consist of four one-hour sessions for any dad/mom/kid combo, at any level. An experienced dad could share tips and goals with his daughter, or a mom and son could surprise dad with their newfound skills for Father’s Day. Got a bigger crowd of mixed ages? Their three-hour group Family Clinics are a ton of fun. Grab some cousins or neighbours and turn this private intro session for six into a party.

If you’re not into golf but think you might have a young Tiger or Annika at home, there are plenty of day camps or weekly classes for kids as young as five years, featuring games, contests, and cool video analysis that puts your kid side-by-side with the greats. It’s active, fun and a swinging good time.

Registration opens February 24 for sessions starting in April, and if you know a tween or teenage golfer, be sure to let them know about Kevin’s amazing Junior Initiative program, which pays for professional club memberships for promising young golfers to pursue the sport.

Because preparing for spring is sometimes the best way to get through winter.

It might soon be tee time, but if golf is not their thing, we’ve got 10 More Sports Classes for Kids in Ottawa
