Summer in the city doesn’t have to be hot and muggy. There are lots of great places to go and things to do with the kids—like Centreville on Centre Island. It’s a little oasis right in our downtown core. With over 30 rides and attractions and more than 14 food outlets, there’s something for everyone just a short ferry ride away—and the ferry ride alone is excitement for the kids!
To maximize the fun factor for your trip to Centreville, allow us to offer a few savvy suggestions and practical tips to make your day even more memorable.
1. Get Up and Go
All parents with young children are up early (not exactly a selling feature of parenthood, we know). So make the most of the situation this time and hop on the 10 am ferry (they run every half hour). Be sure that you take the Centre Island Ferry (there are others that go to different points on Toronto Island) and you should arrive at 10:15 just before the rides open at 10:30 am.
2. Pick Your Ride
Once you are one of the first ten people in the park, you should be able to fit at least three rides in a row without lining up. (Do the research before so you know where to go.) Our personal fave is the Log Flume Ride but we know that the Sky Ride is also very popular and the 1907 Antique Carousel is a classic for all the ages.
