The Right Way

Carseat

We try to teach our kids that there is a right way to do things and a wrong way to do things (with an emphasis on the right, of course). And as much as we try to steer them the right way, we need to be reminded of it ourselves sometimes (especially when the rules keep changing).
Take car seat safety as an example. There are a lot of choices and a lot of rules, but since it’s our kids’ safety we’re talking about, we want to be very sure that they are strapped in the right way in the right seat.

Nobody knows this better than Carlo Santangelo, car seat installation guru, savvy dad of two boys (Joshua, 12 and Jonah, 9), owner of a company called Kids On the Go and otherwise known as “the car seat guy”.

How does one become a car seat installation expert you ask? First, you take the St John’s Ambulance course (then you take it again and again every few years) and then you spend 12 years working with parents and advising them on how to install a seat properly. Once you know what the market and the demand is like, you start your own company with added value and rely on word of mouth to spread the news about your services. Voila, Kids On the Go is born.
