Starry Summer Nights

Want to catch a star? Head to Theatre Under the Stars this summer’€”you can enjoy live outdoor theatre while watching a few rising stars too.
Theatre Under the Stars, in Stanley Park’€™s Malkin Bowl, is not new. It’s been entertaining Vancouverites for over six decades and is a wonderful training ground for amateur performers and technicians. This year, the brand new musical, The Titanic, is sure to be a family favourite. For those who are looking for something lighter, check out The Music Man. New this year is rain insurance which allows you to exchange your ticket for one on another date for an additional $5. Children and youth ticket prices are also much more affordable this year, down 25% from last year.

Both shows begin at 8 pm (except nights with fireworks), so make an evening of it and bring a picnic dinner to enjoy before the production. For a full day of fun, go earlier and splash around in the water park and pool or check out the beaches and miniature train.

Good to Know: Bring a blanket or some warm layers, as the temperature can drop quickly when the sun goes down.

You never know when you’€™ll see a shooting star, but you won’€™t find one unless you’€™re looking.

For more to do this summer, hit up one of these 6 Summer Festivals in Vancouver.
