Reignite Date Nite

You might have said “date night, shmate night” in your LBK (life before kids), but now you are wise enough to appreciate the importance of a quiet, civilized meal, filled with adult conversation between you and your beloved. But what to do with the kids, and where to go for dins?
Read on, sister—we’ve got some great options that will make date night a reality for you.

Jump! Gymnastics, founded just over a year ago by Jennifer Hood, a local savvy mom to two girls (and another baby on the way!) is now offering an evening childcare program. Jennifer has over 15 years of experience working with different gymnastics organizations across Canada, and she used this knowledge to build an exciting new approach to gymnastics. Her programs and space are both fabulous and worth looking into for lessons with the kids, but we’re here to tell you about the evening childcare program.

This fall, Jump! is offering an evening childcare program for kids 2.5 (and close to potty trained) to 8 years on the last Friday of each month (starting on September 25). This allows Mom and Dad to get out for an evening on the town while the kids enjoy three hours (5–8 pm) of gymnastics, games, and crafts by Craft Caravan. All you need to do is call ahead to reserve your spot (space is limited), pack the kids a picnic dinner, and say good-bye at the door. $26 per child is worth the price for civility (perhaps even romance) at the table.
