Pumpkin Spice Syrup

You’ll Need
- ⅓ cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp cloves
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
Prep and Cook
- Combine the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until it becomes thick and syrupy.
- Take out the cinnamon sticks after cooking if you don't want the flavour to be too intense.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and allow it to cool. Refrigerate in a small container for up to 1 week.
- The syrup may thicken when it’s in the fridge but it will thin out again once it’s heated. Add to your favourite beverage, as desired.
