Pumpkin Spice Syrup

You’ll Need

  • ⅓ cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cloves
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger

Prep and Cook

  • Combine the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until it becomes thick and syrupy.
  • Take out the cinnamon sticks after cooking if you don't want the flavour to be too intense.
  • Remove the mixture from the heat and allow it to cool. Refrigerate in a small container for up to 1 week.
  • The syrup may thicken when it’s in the fridge but it will thin out again once it’s heated. Add to your favourite beverage, as desired.
