Herbal Essences Argan Oil of Morocco

This week we learned two things: that it’s been 45 years since Herbal Essences first launched themselves as a natural hair care brand, and that they recently released a brand new line of shampoos and conditioners that are like superfood for the hair.

The line is called ‘bio:renew’, and there are nine different collections, each focusing on a different hair care concern or goal (moisture and shine, volume, deep nourishment, etc). The line spent years in development, and (fun fact!) the team that worked on it was exclusively female.

The game changer is that it removes free radicals by nourishing the hair at a cellular level (as opposed to coating the outside of the hair strand). Each product is free of colourants, parabens, and gluten.

Natalie decided to try out the Argan Oil of Morocco collection, which promises silkiness and shine and has a citrus, spice, and vanilla aroma.

The results? Natalie says it delivered. Her hair felt richly conditioned and nourished, but not weighed down.
