Our Editor’s July Picks

Sun, sun and more sun (and okay, a few showers too) is what we enjoyed this July. Whether you’re on a relaxing vacation or staycation, we’ve been keeping things hot here at SavvyMom with some exciting (and sometime even thought-provoking) content.
On our blogs, Sarah shared her thoughts on an article questioning the joy of parenting and Tamara Taggart from CTV Vancouver shared how she keeps her life in balance and the challenges and rewards that come with having a child with Down syndrome.

Water was definitely a feature on SavvyMom this month, from our Summer Splash photo contest on Facebook to drowning prevention tips in honour of National Drowning Prevention week, including one particularly disturbing element that parents should all be keeping a look out for.

On a food front, we picked peaches as our flavourful ingredient for EatSavvy and are loving the versatility of this fruit. Whether it’s used in a salsa, marinade, or in French Toast, we found peaches to be, well… peachy.

So sit back, sip on some homemade lemonade with fresh blueberries and enjoy this last month of summer. We’ll be heading into back-to-school territory soon enough.
