EatSavvy January

Baked Cheesy Pasta with SausageThis month’s EatSavvy is all about simple comfort food—so of course, we chose a classic mac’n’cheese recipe to warm up the insides of everyone in your family. A bit of browned sausage meat for extra flavour makes the dish even yummier and you can add a fave veggie like fresh or frozen broccoli, cauliflower, spinach or green peas. Kids are more likely to eat the veggies if they are covered in a creamy cheese sauce, right?
Red Grapefruit Avocado Salad
With all of the delicious pasta, veggies and cheese in this month’s line up of meals, my favourite of all recipes is a salad. It might not keep you warm and cozy but the bright colours are a refreshing change to your winter palette this time of year and the sweet juices from the grapefruit are uplifting. I just love this Red Grapefruit and Avocado Salad recipe. I served it at a dinner party last Friday night and added a few poppy seeds to the dressing—it was a big hit and still left enough room for dessert.

Try out all of the recipes on EatSavvy this month and let us know what you think! They are simple, cheap and oh—so—comforting.
