The Smittie

There’€™s nothing more necessary, or impractical, than winter mittens on little hands. Five minutes into a snowman-making session and those gloves are now soggy, cold, and slipping off’€”and good luck getting those wet little fingers back into the mitt. All is lost, much like said mittens, most of the time. Our days of cold hands are over thanks to two Canadian moms who took matters into their own hands and designed the Smittie: a lightweight jacket with the mittens sewn on’€”so they never fall off. The jacket is meant to be worn under any coat, so you can layer them up as the weather calls for, and the thinsulate mitts and cuff are waterproof, so little hands always stay warm and dry.
