Brace yourself because it’s just about that time. September brings with it the end of summer (sigh) and the promise of a new year, new shoes and maybe a new haircut. You’re armed with your savvy back-to-reality checklist but you might need a few more tricks up your sleeve for the rest of this month. Here’s our savvy guide to September.
Pack a picnic—and then go on one with your family
Why? Because the weather is still nice outside even if the official summer months are over. (And just in case you didn’t fit one in all summer, you still can.)
To the Backyardigans
Why? It’s like U2 for preschoolers and it’s on Tuesday, September 22 from 3:30 – 7:30 pm. You’ll be delighted by the smiles on their faces as much as they will be thrilled to see their fave Treehouse characters in real life. Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster.
A big family calendar
Why? Because it helps to have one central schedule that everyone can see—kids, parents and caregivers.
Olly Olly Oxen Free
Why? Because it’s really a simple game of hide-and-seek but it’s fun to say the words. Just shout out “Olly Olly Oxen Free” when the person who is it finds someone and wants to call everyone home to start again.
