Recycled Paper Decorations

Adapted from A Greener Christmas by Sheherazade Goldsmith
You’ll Need
- A template (we simply drew a circle shape, but any shape will do—star, heart, diamond)
- Recycled paper in festive colours
- Recycled cardboard
- Eco-friendly adhesive glue
- Scissors
- Length of string or wool
- 1 vintage bead or button
How to Make
- Place the template on the piece of paper and draw around it. Cut out a piece of cardboard roughly the same size as the piece of paper.
- Glue the piece of recycled cardboard onto the back of the paper and leave one side for awhile for the glue to dry completely.
- Cut out the paper shape neatly using a sharp pair of scissors. Trim the shape if necessary so that no pen or pencil marks are showing.
- Thread both ends of the string through a bead or button to create a loop. Glue the string loop to the back of the card and allow to dry.
Good to Know: This is a really great craft for toddlers to try given the simple nature of it.
