The New Savvy Site

We’ve had some work done, can you tell?
Well if you haven’t noticed yet, we might need to hit you over the head with it. Our site has been revamped, revised and reinforced and we think it looks rather swell, thank you very much. Revising a website is a bit like getting your hair highlighted the first few times…you want the change to be subtle enough so that it’s not too obvious but at the same time you are disappointed if nobody notices. We want our readers to feel comfortable with the upgrade so they can still easily navigate the site and feel like they are on familiar territory.

Sarah, our fearless publisher, has been responsible for spearheading the necessary changes which were initially driven by some behind the scenes technical reasons and some suggestions from our SEO experts at Eighty8Online. Soon we had our web developers, The Wire, and our graphic design guru Trevor Bond and the indispensable Holly Sisson involved and it became a full blown project.

Thanks to everyone who helped to bring the 2009 version of SavvyMom.ca to life. Everyone worked so well together and I am happy to say that I had nothing to do with it!

Savvy readers can enjoy a lot more images, a few new editorial ‘picks and tips’ as well as more contests on offer throughout the year. So boo-hoo to the economic doom and gloom—we think 2009 is shaping up to be a great year. Stay tuned for more exciting news and stay savvy!
