Seriously Zen

Scorching city temps shouldn’€™t shoulder all the blame when we’€™re feeling burned (out) this summer.
Regroup with a visit to Zen Beginnings. This midtown haven, offering holistic-based health and wellness for the entire family, has terrific summer classes and programming for babes, toddlers and tired parents.

Zen Beginnings offers fun for everyone. Try Yoga and Arts Camp or Kiddie/Kids Yoga classes, for ages from 4 to 11. It’€™s also the only Toronto centre currently offering Itsy Bitsy Yoga, a renowned developmentally-centered yoga practice for toddlers 21 months to 4 years old.

Reflecting on our plan to get firm and fabulous before fall, sign us up for Carrier Camp, a baby-weight-bearing take on stroller fitness’€”but without the stroller. This boot camp-style exercise program is designed around exercising (safely) while our babe stays attached. Sipping lemonade while enjoying the post-class camaraderie makes this even more of a welcome workout each week.

Besides specific summer programming, Zen Beginnings offers year-round classes and has on-site professionals focusing on prenatal, postnatal, family nutrition, naturopathy, homeopathy, osteopathy, fitness, fertility and more. The overall intent is to provide support and encouragement where needed while demystifying motherhood, parenthood and all the expectations that come alongside these roles.

What’€™s really Zen about Zen Beginnings? Free babysitting is available during classes and appointments.

This is definitely the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Create some more relaxing memories with these 6 Wellness Spots for Moms in Toronto.
