Roasted Chickpeas with Spices

You’ll Need

  • 1 can chickpeas, washed and rinsed
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp chili powder

Prep and Cook

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, maple syrup, salt and chili powder—mix well. Add the chickpeas and toss to coat with seasonings.
  • Bake the chickpeas until they turn golden brown and shrink slightly—about 30 minutes. Taste for seasoning, adding more salt if necessary. Serve warm or at room temperature.
