Frozen Apple Turkey Burgers & Meatballs

Simply double the recipe while you are preparing the above meals and freeze for another night.
You’ll Need
- 1 cup celery, finely chopped
- 6 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
- ¼ cup canola oil
- 8 lb ground turkey breast
- 4 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. black pepper
- 2 lemons, juice and grated zest
- Plastic Wrap
- Freezer bags
Prep and Cook
- Sauté the celery and apples in canola oil until tender, then set aside to cool.
- Place the ground turkey in a large mixing bowl. Add sautéed items and the remaining ingredients.
- Divide mixture in half. Shape one half into eight 8-ounce burgers and use remainder to form bite-size meatballs.
- Wrap patties in plastic wrap and store in freezer bags (don’t forget to remove as much air as possible).
- Freeze meatballs on cookie sheet before storing in freezer bag.
- Cook from frozen. Season the turkey burgers and meatballs with salt and pepper. Place on a preheated, lightly oiled grill. Grill each side for 7 minutes or until meat is thoroughly cooked.
- Let sit for 5 minutes.
