Mei Lee (Rosalie Chiang) is a confident and bright 13-year-old girl in Toronto who has big dreams and a slightly overbearing mother (Sandra Oh). But her entire world shifts when she wakes up as a giant red panda and must learn how to control her stress and emotions if she wants to return to that teen-girl state.

Rescued by Ruby is a new release (based on a true story) that revolves around a state trooper (Grant Gustin) who dreams of joining the K-9 Search & Rescue team, but no one will give him a shot. When he meets a shelter dog named Ruby who has had a hard time finding a home of her own, however, their fates are sealed.

Zach Braff and Gabrielle Union team for this update of the 2003 original film about a blended family with 10—yes 10—kids. It’s a great family pick because there’s a character pretty much everyone in the crew will relate to, plus all of that heartwarming chaos may be exactly what you personally need to see as you head into the weekend before the big return to school.

Now, with the second season available to stream in full, it could be the thing that helps break up your kid’s week off from school.

Invoke some of your own nostalgia while introducing kids to the Peanuts gang with the second season arrival of this revived cartoon. Now, with the debut of the third season this month, the fab four are back for even more stories of teamwork as they hunt for Group of Seven member Lawren Harris’ painting.
