Celebrate the Experience

The dream of being a high level athlete takes years and years of hard work, determination and sacrifice. The only people other than the athletes who truly understand what it takes are their parents. They too, have worked hard and sacrificed to help their kids nurture that dream—and now it is finally their turn.
McDonald’s recognizes that the support of family is critical in the life and career of athletes and they want to support those parents by ensuring that their own dreams of cheering for their children are fulfilled. That’s why they created the McDonald’s 2010 Hopefuls program, which supports 26 Canadian athletes and their parents.

It’s a great story, and each family has their own unique story to tell. What’s even better is that you can read those stories right here on the SavvyBlogs. We’ll be hosting posts from families in the program who are sharing their experiences right through until the end of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games on our brand new McDonald’s 2010 Hopefuls’ parents blog, and you’ll definitely want to bookmark it.

So celebrate and experience the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games with these families who have worked so hard to get there. After all, that’s really what the spirit of the Games is about.
